Dorothy O'Stanik, RN
Dorothy O'StanikI received my Nursing Degree from Sacramento City College graduating in 1969.  My first 10 years were spent in Coronary and Medical Intensive Care Units.  After the birth of my 3rd child I began looking for a position that would allow me the opportunity to spend more time with my family.  I found that position in surgery in 1979 and have worked in the surgical setting until 5 years ago when I took a position in the Anesthesia Clinic.

The Anesthesia Clinic provides an opportunity to prepare patients that have complex medical issues.  In the clinic we review your previous medical and surgical history, give all pre-op instructions, and provide information on how to prevent surgical complications as well as answer any questions you may have regarding anesthesia.  Information obtained is reviewed with an anesthiologist and if warranted further blood work or medical testing is ordered.  This review done in advance of your surgical procedure has greatly minimized our day of surgery cancellations.  Information obtained is formatted in a concise manner and is available for your anesthiologist to review the day of your surgery.

Appointments are scheduled through your physician.
