Personal Statement

After practicing in Colorado for almost 25 years, I moved to Alaska to get away from the crowds and congestion of the big city that Denver has become. The weather and scenery in Alaska is a lot like living in the mountains of Colorado. I enjoy the smaller size of Fairbanks, the slower-paced lifestyle, and the friendly affect of the people.

Practicing anesthesia allows me to focus on one patient at a time. I feel a patient should be treated the same way I would like to be treated. I understand a person coming to surgery has concerns and fears, and these may be different for different individuals. These concerns, the options for anesthesia, and the risks involved should be reviewed prior to going to the operating room.
