Personal Statement Patient safety and satisfaction are very important in taking care of people having surgery. After completing the required anesthesia training, I spent an additional two years taking care of the sickest and youngest patients. Additional fellowships in intensive care, pediatric anesthesia and anesthesia for heart and chest surgery provided valuable experience before entering private practice. Taking care of the people in Fairbanks is what medicine here is all about.
