Work History

2001 - Present: Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, Fairbanks, Alaska

Personal Statement

Having lived in the midwest and on both coasts, my wife, Marlo, and I chose Alaska as our next adventure in life. We have found the people of Fairbanks to be exceptionally welcoming and warm, and the city to be a nice size and fit for us. The dedicated professional and support staff of Fairbanks Memorial Hospital are excellent and have made for a wonderful work environment.

My practice philosophy is to care for the patients as I myself would want to be cared for, with respect, compassion, vigilance and excellence. Surgery and anesthesia are understandably anxiety provoking. It is my job to explain and demystify our art and practice and to ensure that the patient is getting the best care available.

I enjoy my job because it allows me the privilege to interact closely and personally with each patient and gives me the satisfaction of playing a unique role in the care and health of the individual and the community.
